It was definitely a triumphant moment Tuesday when Olympic ice dancer Meryl Davis and her pro partner Maks Chmerkovskiy were announced as the Dancing With the Stars champs.
But remember way back to the beginning, when it was announced that gold-medal Olympic ice dancers Davis and her partner Charlie White would be competing? Didn't seem quite fair. They obviously are experienced dancers.
Meryl went on to beat out Full House star Candace Cameron Bure and paralympic snowboarder Amy Purdy.
In the end, it all seemed more like a win for pro dancer and ballroom bad boy Maks, who in 13 seasons had never gone the distance to win it all.
