Legend! Jennifer Lopez To Be Honoured With 2014 Billboard Icon Award

Jennifer Lopez has been announced as this year's recipient of the Billboard Icon Award in celebration of her epic career, while it has also been confirmed that the American Idol judge will perform TWO songs at the awards ceremony.

The 43-year-old will grace the stage at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 18 to accept the legendary award which recognises the artist's lifetime achievements and incredible contribution to the music industry throughout their career.

Confirming the news, Larry Klein, producer of the Billboard Music Awards, said: "Jennifer Lopez is one of the most iconic performers of her generation. We are thrilled to honour her historic career with the 2014 Icon Award and will be on the edge of our seats like everyone else when she takes the stage."

It has also been revealed that J.Lo will be hitting the stage to perform not one, but two songs during the night, when she'll be joined by Pitbull for the first live performance of their FIFA World Cup anthem 'We Are One (Ole Ola),' while she'll also sing her new single 'First Love.'

Jennifer is gearing up for the release of her brand new album 'A.K.A.' which will feature collaborations, production and writing credits from Chris Brown, Nas, Rick Ross, Maxwell, Diplo and Robin Thicke.

The record is set for release on June 17 and the artwork sees Jennifer clad in a sexy belted top which puts her cleavage on show teamed with a red pencil skirt.
