The show's co-star, Laura Prepon, confirmed the news via her Instagram feed.
Word of the renewal comes a month before Season 2 premieres on June 6 with all 13 episodes available at launch.
The prison dramedy, based on the memoir by Piper Kerman and executive produced by former "Weeds" show-runner Jenji Kohan, stars Taylor Schilling as a woman who's sentenced to prison for a decade old smuggling offense.
"Orange Is the New Black," fresh off a GLAAD Award for best comedy series, is considered Netflix's biggest hit. One of its legions of fans is apparently President Obama, who referenced during this weekend's White House Correspondents Association Dinner.
