Sheezus Rises! Lily Allen On Course For Second Number One Album

Lily Allen is looking on course for her second number one album this weekend.

The star's third LP Sheezus, named in honour of Kanye West's Yeezus, is tracking in first place, according to midweek data.

Her last opus, 2009's It's Not Me, It's You, also reached the very top, while her 2006 debut Alright, Still peaked at No2.

Both records went 3x Platinum, and each spawned a No1 single - something which Sheezus has already done, thanks to John Lewis Christmas ad track 'Somewhere Only We Know'.

In second place at the moment is Paolo Nutini who is lagging 12,000 copies behind, while Gary Barlow's Since I Saw You Last vaults 35 places to No3 following the When Corden Met Barlow documentary.

Black Stone Cherry, meanwhile, enter at No4 with Magic Mountain, while Horrors are at No6 with Luminous.

Anastacia breaks her five-year absence with new studio album Resurrection at No8, helmed by recent single 'Stupid Little Things'. It'll be her first Top 10 album since 2005 if she can hang on until the sales week ends on Saturday.
